Danny Black
I have been a cosplay enthusiast for almost as long as I can remember. I got my start early on through martial arts, and later through acting and stunt work, and since then, I have been able to incorporate my skills seamlessly into my approach to this new and exciting field of theatrics.

INSTRUCTORÂ GOLDEN GATE KNIGHTS
• I occasionally teach class as a guest instructor
• Able to rehearse and performed complex multi-step lightsaber choreography
• Have performed live at conventions and corporate events including IGX, SVCC, and SFCC

• Responsible for organizing groups and clubs surrounding the cosplay community

MY SKILLS
What I Do
STUNT WORK
I have over five years of experience in practical stunt work. This includes both stage combat and martial arts (Tae Kwan Do, Karv Magat, American MMA Etc), I am currently a guest instructor for the Golden Gate Knights, who specialize in LED saber combat.
COSPLAY DESIGN
I am well-versed in the art of cosplay. I have worked with many prop makers including the Replica Prop Forum, Mandalorian Mercs, and Maker Faire, to create screen-accurate and stageworthy costumes for myself and others in each respective cast and crew.
Most of the outfits and accessories you see in these slides were designed by me.
ART DIRECTION
In addition to my BA in communications, I also took two years of motion pictures and television track at Academy of Art University. I am well accustomed to film language as well as on-set mechanics and am familiar with classical editing. I have written/produced/directed many short films for myself as well as with friends and colleagues.
